Electrical properties of aluminum alloy cables
First、Cable carrying capacity
◆_Whenthe cross-sectional area of the alloy conductor is 1.5 times that of copper, the electrical properties of the alloy conductor and the copper conductor are the same, realizing the same current carrying capacity, resistance, and voltage loss.
◆The resistivity of aluminum alloy is between aluminum and copper, slightly higher than aluminum, and lower than copper. Under the same cutting flow, the weight of aluminum alloy conductor of the same length is only half of the copper. If the electrical conductivity of copper is 100%, the conductivity of the alloy conductor is about 61.2%, the proportion of the alloy is 2.7, the proportion of copper is 8.9, then the resistance of (8.9/2.7) x (0.612/1) =2, that is, the resistance of the copper with 2 unit weight, is the same as that of the 1 unit mass alloy. Therefore, the electrical properties of the alloy guide body is 1.5 times that of the copper. In the same way, the same interception flow, resistance and voltage loss are achieved.
There are many factors affecting the intercepting of power cable, such as line characteristics (such as working power, current type, frequency, load factor); structure of wire and cable (such as the structure of wire core, core number, type of insulating material, structure and material of shield and internal and external protection layer, total outer diameter); laying conditions (such as in air laying, pipes) It is laid, laying directly, laying in the underground channel, laying in the bottom of water. The conducting wire core allows the highest working temperature and surrounding environment conditions (such as air and soil temperature, soil thermal resistance coefficient, adjacent effect of surrounding heat source) and so on.
Second、Reduce the outer section of the cable
In the production process of aluminum alloy cables, Germany's most advanced compression technology makes the filling coefficient of its conductors reach 93%. And aluminum alloy cables are made of silane crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE), which requires only two-thirds of the thickness of PVC to far exceed the conventional insulation performance. In general, the filling coefficient of copper can only reach 80%. The common insulation is PVC, so the outer diameter of aluminum alloy cable is only less than 11% on the basis of copper cable, which can have the same electrical properties of copper. It can be seen that the use of aluminum alloy cables does not require changing the design of the original copper cable. The size of the pipe laid by the general designer is 150% of the copper cable, so it is not a problem to wear it. )
Third、reduce cable line loss
Non magnetic materials will not generate eddy currents and reduce line losses. Aluminum alloy armored material is non-magnetic material, even if there is three-phase unbalanced current, it will not produce eddy current, which can reduce line loss.
